Houthi militia laid down landmines a humanitarian disaster, says senior official

Director of National Center for Handling Landmines Brigader Ameen al-Auqaili said" Houthi militia largely polluted the land with landmines, causing a humanitarian disaster would remain for years due to the huge amount of the landmines planted randomly by Iran-backed Houthi militiamen".

His remarks came during an inspection visit he paid on Saturday to the demining technical teams of the National Center for Handling Landmines and Saudi Demining Project "MASAM" who operate in the district of Khab and Ashaf in Aljawf governorate.

Al-Auqaili told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the technical teams have managed to demine thousands of landmines and they will keep on doing their job in order to secure the lives of locals.
