GCC confirms keenness on regaining security, stability in Yemen

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council or GCC Nayef al-Hajraf has confirmed keenness of the council on regaining security and stability in Yemen.

In a statement for him on Friday, al-Hajraf renewed support to UN's efforts for reaching an inclusive political solution to Yemen's crisis in accordance with Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

He praised efforts of Saudi Arabia for finalizing all preparations for implementing Riyadh Agreement resulted in forming a government from 24 ministers from all political components.

He also welcomed finalizing measures for implementing the security and military supplementary of the agreement and on announcing the government as soon as finishing implementation of the military section of the agreement within a week.
