The governor of Shabwa Mohammed bin Edeiw has inaugurated a 15 Mega Volt Ampere transformer to boost electricity supply in his province.
The transformer, worth USD 252, 000, was bought from the province’s share in oil revenues. The government-held province is seeing a rising demand on power as a result of the flourishing of investments and increase of population who come in the hundreds of thousands to escape the crackdown of Houthi terrorist militia in the country’s northwest.
