Under-Secretary of Ministry of Public Health and Population Dr. Ali al-Waleedi met on Sunday with the newly appointed representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen Dr. Adham Rashad.
Aspects of cooperation and partnership between the Yemeni government and WHO were discussed during the session.
Al-Waleedi briefed Rashad on the overall health situation in Yemen and the ongoing preparations to counter the second outbreak of COvid-19 and other fevers including dengue and malaria.
Separately, Dr. al-Waleed met with the outgoing representative of the WHO in Yemen Dr. Altaf Mossani to say goodbye, voicing appreciation for his significant efforts he exerted during his tenure.
