Marib government launches installation of electric meters

The Governor of Marib Sultan al-Eradah and the Deputy Minister of Electricity Mohammed Al-Kawkabani launched on Sunday the installation of electric meters across the governorate to end a long era of costly free ride and improve the local government’s revenues.
The campaign launched will see 4400 meters installed in the customers’ premises in the governorate’s capital and outskirts and customers will be billed as of this month. The governor said in a speech the government has an ambitious project to develop electricity to expedite development in the governorate and achieve energy conservation.
