RIYADH - SABA
Information Minister said the Iranian regime escalates the conflict in Yemen and confuses the landscape whenever a breakthrough seems to come near.
In a statement to Saba, Muammar al-Eryani said the regime’s announced smuggling of a militant to Yemen to serve as an “ambassador” in the Houthi militia-held Sana’a came hours after the biggest prisoner exchange between the government and the militia, a transaction that received wide acclaim and was seen as a glimmer of hope for further breakthroughs.
Al-Eryani said the Iranian move did not only dash the hopes of breakthrough but also drove home the point that Iran always reasserts its control over the Houthi decision.
Al-Eryani called on the international community to set a limit to the Iranian outright interferences which have plunged Yemen into the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in its history.
