Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Russian Federation Dr. Ahmed al-Woheishi met Wednesday with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Representative of the Russian President to Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov.
Yemeni-Russian bilateral ties and cooperation was key point of the conversations.
Al-Woheishi briefed Bogdanov on the latest developments about the situations in Yemen including Houthi militia's escalations, Safer oil tanker looming environmental disaster and UN-led peace efforts.
He also expressed the Yemeni government's condemnation of the Iranian regime's provocative move that Iran's government smuggled one of its agents to Yemen and naming him ambassador to Houthi insurgent militia.
For his part Mr. Bagdanov welcomed the successful humanitarian process of prisoner exchange, underscoring the need for further practical steps to handle social and economic situations and move forward to establish a UN-led comprehensive peace process.
