The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah received Sunday a delegation from the UNHCR headed by Irnek Linker.
The discussions dealt with the underway arrangements to establish an office of the UNHCR in Marib governorate.
They also conversations also explored greater interventions by the UNHCR to help local authority managing shortages of services due to the large number of the Internally Displace Persons (IDP).
There are as many as three million IDPs are living in Marib governorate distributed to 131 camps.
Linker stated that the UNHCR's Office is going to provide the first payment of cash assistance next December. The cash assistance project is targeting 19 thousand of the IDPs and 15% of the hosting community.
