RIYADH-SABA
Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received Wednesday the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Republic of Yemen Hans Gruenberg.

The session intended to discuss the UN-led efforts to bring about peace in our country.

Dr. Ma'een reiterated the legitimate government's stance in support of peace and dealing constructively with the ongoing efforts by the UN's envoy to re-establish peace based on the three terms of reference agreed to.

Ma'een blamed Houthi militia for blocking peace process. He said" Houthi militia's military escalation and firing missiles and drones on the residential areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arab indicate that the militia isn't interested in peace and political settlement".

Humanitiarian situations and underway efforts to Riyadh Agreement in place were touched upon.

The EU Ambassador stated that the EU will continue to support peace options in Yemen and put an end of the Yemeni peoples suffering.
