The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen Saudi mine action program ‘defused 1402 explosives in September’

The Saudi mine action program of MASAM said on Monday it had defused1402 Houthi - planted explosives in different parts of Yemen during the fourth week of September 2020.
In a statement, MASAM said the explosives included six anti-personnel and 193 anti-tank landmines, as well as 595 IEDs.
MASAM said it has so far extracted a total of 189197 since its inception in 2018. Houthi landmines, MASAM said, are often “camouflaged in different shapes, colors and methods and have led to an enormous casualty toll among children, women and elderly people,” many of which sustain loss of limbs.
