Minister of Information Mua'mar al-Iryani has warned of expected dangers of sinking or exploding Safir Oil Tanker, calling for avoiding human, economic and environmental disaster outdo Beirut Port's explosion hundred times.
" The incident of the dubious explosion at Beirut's port and the huge human losses and catastrophic damages affected Lebanese economy remind us of the timely- bomb of Safir Oil Tanker floating off Ra's Isa Port on the Red Sea," said al-Iryani.
He pointed out that Iran-backed Houthi militia is playing with its promises of allowing to the UN technical team to check the tanker and bans doing maintenance work or unloading the tanker, which contains more than million barrel of crude oil, neglecting the dangers could result from the leaking or exploding of the tanker on Yemen and the regional environment of the countries overlooking the Red Sea.
Al-Iryani appealed to the international community to interfere and exert pressure on Houthi militia and take swift measures to stop the dangers of the leaking or exploding the tanker.
