A Saudi Official Source has said that the Kingdom provided a mechanism to the government of Yemen and to the Southern Transitional Council to speed up implementing Riyadh Agreement signed between the two parties in 2019.
The mechanism included executive points include ceasefire and halting military escalation between the two parties.
The points also include the Transitional Council's declaration of abandoning the self-management, authorizing Yemeni Prime Minister to form a new government from competent politicians within 30 days, moving military forces from Aden to outside the province, forming a new government from south and north including ministers proposed by the transitional council to perform their duties from Aden and continuation of implementing of all Riyadh Agreement's points.
The source added that the two parties have been gathered in Riyadh with active participation of the UAE and the two parties responded positively and accepted this mechanism to overcome current challenges and making interests of Yemeni people above all other interests.
Saudi Arabia praises fruitful response by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the two delegations of the government and the Southern Transitional Council, which led to reaching to these positive results, said the source.
The source confirmed continuous support by the Saudi-led Coalition to the internationally- recognized government and support to UN efforts for reaching to inclusive political solution to Yemen's crisis on the bases of GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
