Planning Minister discusses with UNDP reconstructing damaged ports

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Najeeb al-Awej discussed Friday with the Resident Representative of the UNDP Auki Lutsman studies and projects associated with renewable energy and reconstructing ports damaged by the war.
The two parties also discussed through video conference projects of social and health protection and livelihood projects.
Measures for facing economic effects resulted from corona pandemic and plan for transforming into development and economic recovery 2021-2022 and other topics associated development and the program's other interventions were also discussed.
Al-Awej praised the program's role for supporting developmental projects and programs in Yemen, stressing that the donor's intervention should be transformed from relief to economical and developmental ones.
For his part, the UNDP's official confirmed continuous coordination with the government in for directing the programs and projects towards development and economic recovery in accordance with priorities.
