U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Al-Iryani: Houthi racist militia deliberately defames international organizations to blackmail

Minister of Information Maummer al-Iryani mocked Houthi racist militia's claims that the USAID supplies the government's troops with weapons.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) al-Iryani said" such fabricated and false stories circulated by Houthi militia's media platforms and leaders is nothing but an attempt to exercises blackmail and extortion against the international organizations try to help the Yemeni people".

He added that everybody knows that Houthi militia intentionally aims to defame the international organizations, to intimidate relief and aid workers in order to loot the humanitarian aids.

The minister highly praised the USAID's role in Yemen. He stated that the USAID stated its activity in Yemen in 1959, offered its assistance in different fields including education, health, agriculture, capacity building and so on.
