An official source in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) welcomed the package of practical economic, financial and administrative decisions and measures taken by the Council of Ministers in its meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani, describing them as a step forward on the path of comprehensive reforms aimed at improving living conditions, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, consolidating the principles of transparency and governance, and building an economic and administrative model capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people.

Council of Ministers praises Saudi Arabia's role in supporting Yemen

The Council of Minister held virtual session on Monday presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik.

The session devoted to discuss the recent developments and subsequent serious consequences due to the full-fledge coup carried out by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the governorate of Socotra archipelagos and the military escalation in Abyan.

The Cabinet welcomed the statement issued by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in support of legality in Yemen and its call for complying with Riyadh Agreement, cease-fire, bringing situations back in Socotra and avoiding escalation.

The Cabinet praised the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the leader of Arab Coalition in support of legality in Yemen and the Yemeni people in different stages.

The Council of Ministers has ratified the Convention of establishing the council of Arab and African countries overlooking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Agreement signed in the city of Riyadh on January 6,2020.

The Cabinet discussed a report by the Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami about the encroachment of Eritrea to the Yemeni territorial waters and the continuation of detaining the Yemeni fishermen in light of the recent events.

The Cabinet reiterated the government's support for the statements of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi about Libya, affirming solidarity with the Arab Republic of Egypt and support for all measures the Egyptian government takes to defend its security and stability.
