ADEN - SABA
The Yemeni Government stated that the takeover the state's institutions in the archipelagos of Socotra governorate by the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC) is aggressive attack on the archipelago's population and a flagrant insurgence against the legitimate authority won't be tolerated.
The Government issued a statement on Friday reads" Meanwhile the government has been dealing responsibly with the mediation efforts by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pile up pressure upon the STC and its backers to renounce the declaration of the so-called " self-administration" in the interim capital Aden that further worsening the peoples' suffering, the STC's leadership carried out one more insurgency in Socotra and continuing their military escalation in Abyan".
The Government has called on the Arab Coalition in support of legality in Yemen represented by the brethren in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia given that they have military existence in Socotra Archipelagos to shoulder their own responsibility, urgently act to stop the arrogance of the STC's leadership and their armed groups who were brought from outside the Socotra archipelagos to attack the governorate's inhabitants .
The Government called on the International Community (IC) and the interested organizations, above all the UNESCO to take a firm stance against these subversive and destructive acts which threaten Socotra as one of the world's most important natural protected areas on the list of the world heritage.
