Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef al-Bakri met on Thursday with the Ambassador of the Peoples' Republic of China to the Republic of Yemen Kang Yong.

Yemeni-Chinese bilateral cooperation in the area of sport was key focus of the discussions.

The Chinese Ambassador affirmed his country's support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to reinstate the state's institutions, put down the coup and implement the UNSCRs' in relevance, namely 2216.
