Japan announces new donation of USD 3 million to Yemen

Japan announced Friday granting Yemen USD 3 million for improving psychological situation of those affected by conflict across Yemen.
Japanese embassy in Yemen made statement that the donation is a part of USD 41.2 million announced by the Japanese government in the supposed donor conference to Yemen 2020 organized by Saudi Arabia and the United Nations.
The embassy confirmed keenness of continuing efforts for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.
" The government of Japan exchanged memos with World Health Organization on May 22, 2020 for launching new program in Yemen worth USD 3 million for financing psychology health, especially those affected by conflict in a number of provinces," said the embassy.
