[04/06/2020 06:18]

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadrami received on Thursday a telephone call from the French Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Yemen Christian Testu.

The conversation dealt with the Yemeni-French bilateral ties, developments about peace efforts and the subsequent consequences of the insistence by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) on what it called " self-administration of the south".

Al-Hadrami stated that the government has done everything to make peace but Houthi militia has continued to refuse every proposal for ending the war and establishing peace.

The Foreign Minister also blamed the STC for insisting on its declaration the so-called "self- administration of the south", rejecting to put Riyadh Agreement into its effects.

The French Ambassador reiterated his country's stance in support of Yemen's security, stability and territorial integrity.

He stated that France is strongly supporting the UN envoy's efforts and his recent initiative for a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.

He also stated that there is better alternative to Riyadh Agreement to bring security and stability.
