Hajjar: IsDB Group will offer Yemen $100 mln developmental aid

The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Bandar Hajjar stated that the IsDB is going to keep on supporting the Republic of Yemen to help the Yemeni government to manage the economic hardships, humanitarian difficulties and control pandemics.

In a press statement Hajjar said "The IsBD Group would provide Yemen with a developmental assistance worth $ 100 million within the next four years (2020-2023), out of which $36.6 million to support the government's efforts to counter coronavirus (covid-19).

Hajjar mentioned that the IsDB Group has contributed with $1 billion to finance Yemen since the group established.
He added that the IsDB Group's active portfolio in Yemen presently consist of 17 transactions with total cost make up $214 million.
