The European Union's Commission has approved allocation of € 70 million as new supply and allocation more than € 40 million to stop spread of Corona virus in Yemen.
The European Union continues support to Yemen and provides vital assistances as food, nutrition, water, shelter and personal care materials to millions of Yemenis affected by the crisis, said the commissioner of crisis management at the union.
He pointed out that for ensuring access to assistances by the greatest number of people, all chains and interferences violating humanitarian principles must be ended.
"The European Union supports Yemeni people and has mobilized all its available developmental tools to support the health system to alleviate this new crisis," said the commissioner of international partnerships in the EU.
She added that for the sake of protection against corona virus endemic the partner organizations with the EU of carry out emergency plans and means for combating the spread of the virus and the EU's assistances will support curing children who suffer from severe malnutrition.
