Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik and the UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Marck Lowcock discussed on Friday through a telephone call the ongoing preparations for Yemen donors conference 2020 scheduled for next Tuesday.
The gathering is set to be virtually co-organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations.
Dr. Ma'een detailed Mr. Lowcock on the economic and humanitarian situations, citing the government's plans aiming to address top priorities and pressing needs to prevent the economic deterioration and to maintain the value of the national currency exchange rate.
They touched upon the underway joint efforts to fundraising and secure the necessary pledges by donors to fund the finance gab of the increasingly growing humanitarian needs in Yemen.
