CAIRO – SABA
Speaker of the Arab Parliament Meshaal Al-Solmi called on Arab countries and humanitarian relief organizations to lend a helping hand to the legitimate Yemeni government with relief aid for the Yemeni people in the aftermath of the recent floods that hit different parts of Yemen.
In a statement, Al-Solmi announced the Parliament's solidarity with the Yemeni people in this ordeal brought by torrential rains that struck the temporary capital Aden and other cities resulting in loss of lives and severe damage to properties and infrastructure.
Al-Solmi pointed out that the Arab Parliament office had discussed, in its virtual meeting remotely, last Sunday, the political, economic and social developments in Yemen to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, and support the security, stability, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
