The national Emergency Committee on Coronavirus has approved a package of precautionary measures to confront the novel virus (Covid-19).
In a meeting held on Sunday headed by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, the committee approved measures to strengthen the preventive efforts against the plague and approved mechanisms for resolving the issues of the Yemenis stranded abroad over fears of bringing the contagion with them to their homeland.
The committee reviewed the continuous efforts to facilitate the entry of commercial goods and humanitarian relief aid shipments after subjecting them to the specified medical procedures. The Prime Minister stressed that the government will not hesitate to take all necessary additional measures to protect Yemeni citizens from this global pandemic.
