SP sends a letter to the UN's envoy about Houthis' execution verdict against 4 journalists
[12/04/2020 07:13]

ADEN - SABA
Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani sent a letter Sunday to the UN Secretary General Special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths about a judicial ruling of executing four journalists issued by Houthi rebel militia.

Al-Brakani described the Houthis' judgement as a move of escalating shows to what extent the militia has proved disregarding the resolutions of the International Security Council and International conventions about the detainees, prisoners and journalists.

The Speaker of Parliament called on the UN's envoy to condemn and criminalize the execution sentences against the journalists and to act for releasing them given that they have been kidnapped, illegally detained in the rebels' jails.
