Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani has warned the international community of Houthi circumvention of the international pressures to release Bahai faith leaders by freeing leaders while keeping their families jailed and assets confiscated.
In a statement to Saba, al-Eryani said the militants are likely planning on releasing four leaders of the Bahai community while retaining their families in jail.
"These terrorist crimes of abduction and torture that the Houthi militia exercise against religious minorities such as the Bahai sect are the same as the crimes of other terrorist groups, not less heinous," he said.
The minister demanded the international community to pressure the militia into releasing all Bahai abductees without discrimination and without conditions."
