PM, Director of WHO discuss measures to manage coronavirus

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik conducted on Thursday a telephone call with Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom.
The phone conversation dealt with aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the WHO, mainly about the preventive and precautionary measures need to be taken to contain the coronaviurs (covid19).
The Prime Minister briefed the Director of the WHO on the precaoutionary measures the Yemeni government has taken to control the pandemic.
Ma'een also cited the requirements and necessary assistance the health sector in Yemen is in need of, voicing hope that the WHO will provide the Yemeni government with the needed support to control this endemic.
Mr. Adhanom stated that the WHO used to give priority to the under-developed countries, promising to support the Yemeni government's efforts to deal with this pandemic.
