Rights organizations demand HCHR to exist in all provinces
[28/02/2020 02:40]

GENEVA-SABA
The Information and Human Rights Qualification Center, the Regional Network for Human Rights Activists and My Right for Supporting Rights and Freedoms demanded Friday the High Commission for Human Rights to exist in different Yemeni provinces to do its job neutrally.

In oral release delivered by Hani al-Aswadi under the name of the non-government organizations in the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the three organizations pointed out that the UN organization's work is not as demanded due to existence of its office only in Sana'a and works with only local team under Houthi conditions.

They noted to Houthi militia's rejection to allow the Director of the HCHR's office to enter Sana'a and their rejection to relocate the organization's regional office to the transitional capital Aden.

The release demanded the organization to exert more efforts to limit major violations and to realize the aim of its office establishment in Yemen through its existence in all provinces.
