The General Authority of Civil Aviation confirms the need to obtain prior authorization to enter Yemen's airspace The Civil Aviation and Met. Marib official, IOM discuss assisting Marib stem the tide of irregular migration

The Deputy Governor of Marib, Abd-Rabbu Miftah, discussed with the IOM's Migrants Protection officer in Yemen stemming the tide of irregular immigration from African countries and the possible ways of helping the Yemeni province in handling the issue.

Miftah explored the prospects of IOM's help including with organizing assisted returns of the migrants to their countries of origin.

He said that the huge number of foreign refugees is such a big challenge coupled with the flow of local refugees pouring on the government-held eastern province as they escape the crackdown of the radical Houthi militia in the western and northern parts of the country.
