Yemen's ambassador to Indonesia Abdulghani al-Shameeri has stressed the Yemeni government's commitment to peace with Houthi rebels based on the three relevant terms of reference.
In a meeting with the Director of the Middle East Department at the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, al-Shameeri said the government is committed to peace based on the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council resolutions on Yemen, in particular resolution no. 2216 (2015).
Al-Shameeri made clear that the rebels are escalating militarily, which threatens the international community's peace brokerage efforts, and are hindering humanitarian aid distribution efforts.
He thanked Indonesia's support to the Yemeni people and facilitations of Yemeni investments in the country.
