The local police of Yemen's eastern province of Marib seized in January 768 kilograms of hashish and arrested seven persons involved in an attempt to smuggle the narcotics to the areas controlled by Houthi militants.
The chief of the Special Forces Abdulghan Shoalan told Saba his forces gathered the quantity from three foiled smuggling attempts.
He said the arrested suspects were referred to courts for legal procedures to be taken against them.
