Minister of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank Discuss Comprehensive Reform Implementation with Arab Monetary Fund

Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj Bin Ghanem and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed al-Maabqi discussed Thursday with Dr. Fahad Al-Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund implementation of the comprehensive reform program in the economic, financial and monetary sectors.

Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Canada Jamal Abdullah al-Sallal met Wednesday with Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada Bros Stanton.

Yemeni-Canadian bilateral ties and cooperation was a key focuss of the conversations.

The discussions also touched upon the latest developments in Yemen including the recent military escalation by Houthi rebel militia.

Al-Sallal explored the prospects of establishing Yemen's parliamentary friendship group in the Canadian Parliament.

The Canadian lawmaker confirmed his country's support for the legal Yemeni leadership and the UN-led peace efforts to establish sustainable peace and put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
