Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah discussed Monday with the Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Mission in Yemen Friya Radhi preparations for humanitarian interventions for providing food aid to 9700 displaced families here via the Yemeni Red Crescent late of this February.
Miftah praised humanitarian efforts made by the organization for supporting projects help alleviating suffering of the displaced people, confirming keenness of the authority on providing necessary facilitations to ICRC for carrying out its projects.
He pointed out to big numbers of displaced people received by Marib over Houthi militia's war on Yemen and imposed challenges on the local authority to provide basic services to hosting community and the displaced people.
For her part, Radhi made it clear that the committee's team will evaluate the humanitarian situation of the displaced people and their needs for making inclusive vision on program interventions in fields of food, shelter, medications, water and sanitation.
