The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Governor of Taiz discusses CARE's plans, inks agreements with Yemen Aid

Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan held here on Sunday discussions with the team of the CARE organization.

The discussions focussed on the CARE's interventions and plans in Taiz governorate.

The CARE's team reported to Shamsan about the organization's interventions in the governorate last year. It is important to note that CARE carried out 390 Water Posts throughout Taiz, funded cleaning campaigns and sanitation projects.

Separately, Shamsan signed a number of agreements with Yemen Aid Organization under which the organization will fund establishing water-pumps operate on Solar Energy Systems. The agreements work $246 thousand and 688 hundreds to carry out water projects in the districts of al-Mawaset, al-Misrakh, al-Ma'afer and Jabal Habashi.
