Taiz: National Commission of Inquiry holds a hearing for victims of arbitrary detention

The National Commission to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations held a hearing today for victims of arbitrary detention and their families in the governorate of Taiz, as part of the committee’s mechanisms to investigate violations committed by all parties against victims and document the information recorded in the hearing in the committee’s data.

The session was opened with an explanatory speech by a member of the National Commission, Ishraq Al-Maqtari, on the objectives and nature of the hearing and the expected outputs, followed by reading the guidelines for presenting and reviewing the experiences of victims and the context of the detention incident in all aspects.

The Commission heard from 11 victims of unlawful detention, including in which they reviewed the events of the incidents of violation experienced by each victim.
