FM meets resident representative of FAO

Foreign Minister Mohamed Al-Hadhrami met with the resident representative of the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Hussein Jadin.

They discussed the existing cooperation between the organization and the Yemeni government and the FAO's programs being implemented in the areas of food security, enhancing agricultural production, managing water resources, improving people's purchasing power and raising income for the poor segments of the society.

The Foreign Minister praised the role of the organization in Yemen and its focus on development projects that affect the lives of people and contribute to improving the lives of productive families in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.

He stressed the government's support for the organization and its keenness to overcome all difficulties that come in its way.
For his part, the resident representative of the FAO expressed his appreciation to the Yemeni government for facilitating the activities of the organization, noting that the organization will work to gradually to expand its programs according to societal needs.
