Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani discussed Wednesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Christopher Hanzel latest developments in Yemen and developments regarding implementation of Riyadh Agreement.
The two parties also discussed efforts exerted for realizing peace and reaching to political solution in Yemen for transforming into security and development phase.
Al-Barakani praised US role supporting Yemen's security, stability and unity and Saudi-led Coalition's role for helping Yemen out of its crisis.
He reviewed joint coordination in facing terrorism and Iranian interferences in the region as well as securing maritime navigation against Houthi threats.
He confirmed that making Riyadh Agreement successful is joint responsibility as it is basic foundation for the inclusive political solution in Yemen.
For his part, the US diplomat expressed pleasure for the meeting, confirming his country's position supporting Yemen and it security and stability and supporting legality and Arab Coalition's efforts.
He pointed out that convening parliament sessions will represent strong support to the government internally and externally, pointing to dangers of Iranian agenda on Yemen and the region and posting threats to international peace and water routes.
