President al-Alimi Declares Military Operations to Restore State Institutions, Take Control Over Entire National Territory

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Commander –in-Chief of the Armed Forces, announced today, Sunday, the start of military operations to regain the remaining lands of the republic, which are under the militias control, and to extend state authority and its institutions over the entire national territory, affirming the shift from the preparation and preparedness phase to the liberation phase after exhausting all chances for calm.

Speaker of the Parliament, Sultan Al-Barakani met with the French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Testo here today.

They discussed the latest developments on the Yemeni landscape, the efforts to achieve comprehensive peace, and ways to strengthen the relations between Yemen and France.

Al-Barakani praised the French support to bring peace to Yemen, stressing the need to support all efforts that would complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, end the Houthi coup, reactivate the state institutions and meet all other aspirations of the Yemeni people.

Al-Berkani stressed the keenness of the political leadership represented by His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to make the Riyadh Agreement a success and achieve a just and lasting peace in Yemen.
