Minister of Social Affairs and Labor DrEbtihaj al-Kamal participated Saturday in the 9th meeting of Arab Woman Organization High Council held in Cairo.
In her contribution to the discussions al-Kamal touched upon the efforts made in the Republic of Yemen to improve woman's position, promote her role in politics and decision making process.
She cited the quota system approved by the National Dialogue Conference in which 30% quota was allocated for women representation in different levels of decision-making positions and institutions.
The Minister blamed Houthi militia's coup for disrupting the political transition process and thwarting efforts aiming to improve woman's position and situation.
