The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

NCIAHRV, CSOs discuss following up human rights

The National Committee to Investigate Alleged Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV) held a meeting Wednesday here with Civil Society Organizations specialized in human rights.

The two parties discussed following up human rights incidents and cooperation with the committee for documenting human rights violations.

Deputy Head of the Committee Hussein al-Mashdali confirmed that the committee is keen on cooperation with human rights local organizations as a key worker in this field.

For their part, the representatives of CSO's showed their readiness to cooperate with the committee on monitoring and documenting human rights violations in the province.

On the other hand, the committee discussed with Director of Hadibu District AmjadThani and Director of Qalansia and Abdulkori District Sa'adTaha effects of recent natural disasters hit the two districts on human right.
