Minister of Sports Nayef al-Bakri and the US ambassador to Yemen Christopher Henzel discussed the developments in Yemen including the recent signature of a deal between the government and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) to end internal fractures and bloodshed.
Al-Bakri indicated the government's willingness for a broader national peace including with the Houthi militants should they abide by three national references; the GCC-brokered agreement, the outcomes of the internationally observed National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council resolution no. 22016 which provides for undoing the Houthi coup of 2014.
