The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

President receives German Ambassador to Yemen

RIYADH-SABA
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received Wednesday German Ambassador to Yemen Carola Muller discussing with her a number of issues including latest developments in Yemen and peace process.

President talked about signing Riyadh Agreement between the Government and the Southern Transitional Council, pointing to his directives to all government institutions to implement the agreement as soon as possible and normalizing life in liberated provinces.

President praises the vital and positive role of Germany for supporting Yemen and providing assistances to Yemeni people and supporting development in Yemen, expressing hope for a German role in implementing Riyadh Agreement.

For her part, the German diplomat confirmed her country's support to Yemen's unity, stability and unity, as well as support to legality under President Hadi, praising his efforts for realizing peace.

Congratulating him on this agreement, Muller expressed her country's support to Riyadh Agreement for returning the government to Aden for normalizing life and resuming development efforts.
