Yemen participated in the 82nd GCC Health Ministers' Conference held in Muscat, Oman, on Wednesday. The national delegation to the event was headed by Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Abdullah Dahan and Assistant Deputy Minister for Population Sector Dr. Ishraq Al-Sibai.
The two-day conference will present a visual presentation on the GCC Health Ministers Council's strategic plan from 2020 to 2022, and discuss draft resolutions on unified procurement, central registration, expatriate screening and technical committees, and the future orientation of the GCC health ministers council.
Delivering a speech, Dahan praised the role played by the GCC states in providing support to Yemen in the health sector which had been destroyed by the Houthi coupist militia.
