Defense Minister opens Joint Operations Command in Marib

The Minister of Defense Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Maqdashi, along with the governor of Marib, Maj. Gen. Sultan al-Eradah, and the commander of the Arab Coalition forces in the province, Maj. Gen. Hamdan al-Shammari, opened a headquarters for the Joint Operations Command of the Yemeni Armed Forces in Marib today.

Al-Maqdashi closely inspected the equipment of the headquarters and was briefed by the commander of Joint Operations in the armed forces Maj. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz on the conduct of field operations by military heroes in various fields to confront the Houthis and other terrorist groups.

The Minister of Defense affirmed the interest of the political leadership and the government in rebuilding the nation's defense establishment based on scientific and national basis.
