SP praises Yemeni-Chinese relations
[30/09/2019 01:46]

RIYADH - SABA
Speaker of the House of Representatives Sultan Al-Barakani praised the depth of the Yemeni-Chinese relations, which extend to decades of cooperation in all fields.

Speaking at a reception organized by the Chinese diplomatic mission to Yemen (in Riyadh) to celebrate China's 70th anniversary, Al-Barakani conveyed the congratulations of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to the leadership, government and people of China on this occasion.

Al-Barakani said Yemenis came to know modern China through Chinese projects in Yemen; the first tarmac highway in Yemen (between Hodeidah and Sana'a), the first factory (textile) and the first technical school and hospital (in Taiz) in addition to the Chinese medical missions assigned to different parts and hospitals of Yemen.

He thanked China for standing with the republican regime revolution in Yemen from its first moments in the 1960s when Sana'a came under 70-day siege by the theocratic militias of the time.
