The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen's Ambassador, Algerian official discuss holding joint committee

Yemen's Ambassador to Algeria Ali al-Yazidi discussed Thursday with the Secretary General of Algerian Foreign Affairs Ministry Rashid Bladhanlatest developments in Yemen and holding the meeting of the Joint Committee.
The two parties also discussed Algeria's role in relief field.
Al-Yazidi acquainted the Algerian official with political, military and humanitarian situations in Yemen and suffering of the Yemeni people over Houthi coup against legality, pointing to political efforts for solving Yemeni crisis and government's concessions it made for this regard despite Houthi militia's stubbornness of implementing UN resolutions and rejection of implementing Stockholm Agreement on Hodeida.
Al-Yazidi pointed to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council's rebellion in Aden, noting that this rebellion serves only Houthi militia.
For his part, the Algerian official confirmed his country's support to Yemen's security and unity and support to the internationally recognized government.
He showed his country's readiness for discussing the issue of holding the joint committee's meeting and Algeria's support to relief in Yemen.
