An official source in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) welcomed the package of practical economic, financial and administrative decisions and measures taken by the Council of Ministers in its meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani, describing them as a step forward on the path of comprehensive reforms aimed at improving living conditions, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, consolidating the principles of transparency and governance, and building an economic and administrative model capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people.

Chinese Ambassador renews support to government

Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong has renewed his country's support to the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

In his meeting with leadership of Ministry of Information and a number of Yemeni media men, Yong pointed out that China exerts huge efforts within the fifth permanent members in the Security Council and stressed maintaining the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

He pointed out that China believes that the three references will realize the joint aspirations of Yemeni people for reaching to peace and stability and that the outcomes of the dialogue express intelligence of Yemeni people and solving all of Yemeni problems.

"I feel deep regret over sorrowful incidents witnessed by the transitional capital Aden and complicated the Yemeni problem and ending suffering of Yemeni people," he said.

He praised Yemeni-Chinese deep relations for extended established 70 years ago since announcement the Republic of China as Yemen was among the first countries to acknowledge the republic and this position was followed by improvement of relations and boosting cooperation between the two countries.

For their part, General Director of the Yemeni General Corporation for Radio and Television Iskandar al-Asbahi and Deputy Minister of Information Abdulbaset al-Qaedi talked about Yemeni-Chinese relations and Chinese support to Yemen since September 26 Revolution of Yemen.

They pointed out to Chinese media expert and necessity of making use of it via training and qualifying Yemeni journalists.
