Minister of Defense General Lieutenant Mohammad al-Maqdashi presided over a meeting for Mareb's Security Committee Thursday for discussing security developments in the province.
In the meeting attended by Governor Sultan al-Irada of Mareb, al-Maqdashi pointed out that tightening security resembles the battle of liberating the homeland as security is the basic foundation for development and a key boost to the state's efforts, to the battle for defending the revolution, the republic and national principles.
He praised effort exerted by security apparatus in Mareb, which has become a destination for thousands of Yemeni displaced people over Houthi militia tyranny and a good example to liberated provinces.
He stressed significance of doubling efforts and be in a state of alert and coordination and cooperation for tightening security and protecting highways and public and economic establishments, saying they will not tolerate those who harm security and stability.
For his part, Governor al-Irada praised sacrifices of the national army's heroes side by side security forces for keeping security and stability, confirming that the local authority and security forces will deter anyone trying to destabilize the province's security.
He stressed cooperation of all people in the province and the people residing in it to cooperate with security forces and state institutions for keeping the province secured and stable.
