President al-Alim Calls for Wide-Ranging National Alignment to Restore State Institutions, Eliminate Coup

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces urged all Yemeni people to align themselves behind the State Proposal, support the Armed Forces in the security services in the ongoing battle to restore the State institutions and eliminate the coup. Yemen's Ambassador to Havana Mohammad Nasher acquainted Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at Cuban Foreign Ministry Hector Igarza Cabrera with latest developments in Yemen and issues of common concern.

The meeting also tackled a number of issues in Yemen including efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen for realizing peace and Houthi militia stubbornness in realizing peace process.

Nasher reviewed recent and quick incidents in Aden and Abyan and targeting state's institutions by the Transitional Council, pointing to government's denouncement to UAE's air strikes against government's forces in the two provinces.

For his part, the Cuban official confirmed his country's permanent and fixed position supporting Yemen, its unity, security and stability, as well as its internationally recognized government under President Hadi.

He pointed to Cuban support to UN envoy's efforts for realizing peace.
