The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Consultative Council condemns separatists rebellion in two southern cities

Yemen's Consultative Council (Majlis Ashura) has condemned the bloody attack by separatists in south Yemen which led to the capture of the temporary capital Aden and Abyan province within the past two weeks.

Armed militants from the Southern Transitional Council and the Security Belt seized Aden on August 11 and Abyan more recently in what the council described, in a press release, as "a rebellion against the internationally recognized government and a serious threat to the unity, security and stability of Yemen."

The Council said any support to this rebellion is a hostile move that means to confuse the Yemeni government's and Arab Coalition's key battle to counter the Houthi coup in the country's north.
